Italian designer Piero Lissoni has paired a round-edged cube seat with a vertical rectangular back to develop this upholstered chair for furnishings brand Viccarbe.
Piero Lissoni’s Season Chair is built with sound perforated timber and non-deformable polyurethane foam, and also has hidden wheels for easy mobility.

“Season’s layout requires inspiration from the feeling of comfort evoked by classic bourgeois upholstered chairs to offer an revolutionary and purified shape, formed by two essential factors – the seating and the backrest – and dominated by soft, organic curves,” Lissoni informed Dezeen.
The straight back support seems to rest against 1 of the cube’s vertical faces, with the upholstery tucked close to each elements to highlight the two distinct varieties.

The chair is the latest addition to the Season assortment, which consists of a bench launched in 2011.
