Jessica Helgerson Interior Design and style turns a former library into a client’s dream property.

The venture was a comprehensive remodel of the small public library in Portland’s Sellwood neighborhood.  It was then utilized as a church meeting hall.  The designers truly needed to protect the feeling of the large open area of the library and converted it to a wonderful room.

The remodel was kept standard with present day decor and furnishings utilised as a wonderful contrast.
Jewel tones are also used via the furnishings and art.

Bookshelves were extra throughout to hold in theme with the library.

The fantastic space is comprised of the kitchen, dining, and living regions.
The art is by regional Portland artists Anya Spielman and Jocelyn Rahm.

How lovely is that chair?

The ladder is a nice nod to the house’s unique use as a library.

The entry and powder area was originally an open front porch that they enclosed.

The bedrooms were quite small so cabinetry was developed in wherever possible.
