Margo Konings, co-founder of Dutch design agency Organisation in Style and co-organiser of Milan’s Ventura Lambrate design and style district, has left the business.

Konings explained she was leaving to “comply with a new path” six many years after teaming up with Margriet Vollenberg to jointly run the influential agency.

Konings (left in photograph) and Vollenberg initiated the Ventura Lambrate district in Milan in 2010, taking in excess of empty workplace spaces and disused industrial buildings in the north-east of the city and turning them into exhibition venues during the yearly furnishings fair.

“The last years at Organisation in Layout had been unbelievable we travelled the world, worked on incredible projects and launched Ventura Projects,” said Konings. “With a good deal of pride I appear back on all that we have accomplished. I made the selection to follow a new path and for that reason say goodbye to Organisation in Layout.”

The Ventura Lambrate district, managed via Organisation in Design subsidiary Ventura Tasks, has grown to be one particular of the most vibrant and greatest-curated elements of the sprawling city-broad fair, acting especially as a platform for emerging worldwide designers.

Vollenberg founded Organisation in Design in 2005, with Konings joining in 2009. “I was searching for a partner to expand my organization and when I met Margo in Tokyo we identified out that our ideas of the design sector were too comparable to not perform with each other,” Vollenberg told Dezeen.

“It was wonderful to have a partnership these final many years with her, to begin the Ventura Projects and to deliver Organisation in Layout to where it is now,” she added.

Vollenberg explained they started out the Ventura Lambrate district because “exhibitors started out longing for change. What we identified was missing at the Salone del Mobile was a place that gave space to the designers and their functions, their ideas, their experiments. There had been a whole lot of clean reduce, white pedestal presentations and we desired to deliver one thing diverse.”

Vollenberg extra: “Another crucial point that distinguishes Ventura from other events is the diversity of exhibitors and the artwork route of the full spot. We always strive to discover a perfect balance in Ventura Lambrate.”
