Rosenberry Residence by Les architectes FABG:
“This residence found on a huge wooded lot near Sutton in the Eastern Townships region is conceived as a bi-generational family members cottage for a financier now based mostly in Asia and his mothers and fathers even now living in Montreal sharing it for household holidays in summer and winter.
Typical regions, kitchen, dining area and living space occupy the ground floor open space as properly as the personal rooms of the mothers and fathers on its west finish.
The 2nd floor is reserved for the son, is made up of a living room, guest rooms, a terrace and a bedroom supplying unobstructed views of Mount Sutton.
The two wings are disposed at correct angle to reduce noise transmission amongst floors for occupants residing on a different every day rhythm and possessing to adapt to twelve hrs of time zone separation.
The residence, sitting on a podium with a swimming pool and a lawn terrace, is clad with black lacquered aluminum panels and white cedar accents. The hybrid framework is produced of wood, steel and concrete floors with radiant heating while the glazing of the curtain wall and windows include a minimal-e coating.”
