Although my dad is a certifiable genius when it comes to woodworking, I’m just a touch too impatient for all of the special jigs and fixtures—not to mention mathematics—that go along with the trade. But some of my ideas require that little hesitant step outside of my comfort zone. Take my two-tone scarf stand, for example.
I explained my thought process to my assistant (a.k.a. my little sister, who’s hands you always see peeking into my progress photos) and despite the look of trepidation she shot me, I moved full steam ahead.
