Recently, I’ve really been stepping outdoors of my comfort zone—whether it’s the colours I’m leaning in direction of, or the type of design I’m placing to the check. Consider this week’s eHow project for illustration. Rustic aspects generally aren’t my jam, but I was just as well curious not to attempt out this wood burning instrument that I’ve been hearing so considerably about. Enter: my DIY custom wood burned sign. It was a good deal of fun to put collectively using a wood slab and the hand lettering abilities I picked up from Laura Hooper Calligraphy, and you can catch the total tutorial over on eHow now.
P.S. Did you hear? I partnered with HGTV’s David Bromstad and the staff behind Grandin Road to give away a set of David’s designer pillows (valued at a number of hundred dollars!). Enter the contest right here.
