Monday Motivation

This week, I&#8217m feeling the need to generate. Possibly it&#8217s the truth that I&#8217m completed with Christmas shopping and have been elbow-deep in golden wrapping paper cuttings, or maybe it was the weekend baking (I know, shocking. I baked one thing other than a hot mess. A lot more on that later though).

Polish kolaches. So quite, very excellent.

I woke up this morning feeling like I wanted to shrug off my usual uniform of sweaters and function jeans and put on a celebration dress. Wear red lipstick. Don some gay apparel, just like the song demands (between ordering me to deck the halls and guests refusing to leave till they get figgy pudding – whatever the hell that is – Christmas songs can be somewhat bossy, don&#8217t you think?).

I guess what I&#8217m saying is I&#8217m feeling the need for some inspiration. With only ten days until Christmas, it will be good to get lost in the glow for a couple of days (and eat about a dozen varieties of cookie). So if you&#8217ve got some vacation photographs to share, I&#8217d enjoy to see &#8216em. I&#8217ll have a entertaining Christmas project to share with you ahead of week&#8217s end too. Content Monday, folks!

Wrap-Up-Felt-Holly-17

It&#8217s the Monday ahead of Christmas week, and you know what that indicates? There&#8217s just one a lot more week of Holiday Paper Wrap Up tutorials left to share! This is going to be a particularly fun 1 though, filled with guidelines and tricks that I, myself, had by no means even tried prior to. Some of them were undoubtedly experiments, but all of them are my new preferred methods to wrap. Take my felt holly accent for instance&#8230

Wrap-Up-Felt-Holly-02

Supplies

  • Pre-wrapped present box
  • Satin ribbon
  • Felt, one dark colour for the leaves and 1 medium color for the berries (ignore the super light felt pictured above since I didn&#8217t end up making use of it)
  • Craft glue
  • Fine tip Sharpie pen
  • Scissors

Wrap-Up-Felt-Holly-03

1st, cut out your shapes. You&#8217ll need to have two pieces of darker felt cut into the shape of holly leaves and three pieces of the medium felt reduce into the rounded shapes of the berries. At the last minute, I also drew a thin black line down the center of my holly leaves making use of a Sharpie to additional accentuate it.

Although I took the liberty of shifting the natural green and red colors of holly to match my wrapping paper&#8217s brighter colour scheme, you can definitely feel cost-free to go any direction—traditional or contemporary. It&#8217s up to you!

With your shapes reduce, wrap your stain ribbon about the pre-wrapped box and tie it into a bow. Subsequent, use craft glue to adhere the leaves and the berries together into a cluster. A small dot or two of glue on the back of the holly + berry cluster must be all you need to have to fix it to the prime of your gift box.
