Alma Negra is a wine restaurant transformed by SA Estudio. Located in A Coruna, Spain the project is a challenge for architects because of the rock walls.
The task aims to meet some stringent circumstances: a lengthy and tight plot and normative heights that did not allow the preservation of the current mezzanine. Black steel structural profiles are the task emphasis. They set the rhythm. Also, they brace the authentic stone wall. SA Estudio also designed contrasted regions with distinct materials: Wood to acquire, coco doormat to filter, hardwood to sit and consume, and tile hydraulics in restrooms and kitchen.
