When Naaz of Olive + Wheat Designs first sent this gorgeous styled editorial our way, one line in her submission stood out to us: A wedding day shouldn’t be the only time you get to celebrate your love! We totally, totally agree with that statement, and it’s one of the reasons why we love this anniversary party inspiration so much!
Naaz tells us, In bowling, your starting point is a reliable and effective body stance. In marriage, a 1 year anniversary celebration is like the bowler’s stance before beginning the approach. It is just as special, picture worthy, and unique. I came up with the vision for the shoot that included a touch of modern boho, a little bit of industrial glam and some tropical elements. We wanted to capture the couple’s unique characteristics so that the party could truly reflect them. The two of them love a good ol’ cup of aged Macallan and a game of bowl, so we knew we had to incorporate this into our shoot.
Let’s see how it comes together in the photos below by Lillywhite Photography!

If it rains the day of your anniversary party, don’t let that ruin the fun! Throw on a cute pair of rain boots and enjoy the festivities you’ve planned – like lawn games + row boat rides!
