We’re loving this masculine-inspired shoot at The 1912 —a brand new Santa Ana venue. The creatives, led bySugar Branch Events, were inspired by copper, leather, cement and whiskey and sophisticated vibe. Add in a real couple in love and the shoot is sure to inspire. We’re definitely digging the unique floral designs by The Bloom of Time and the gorgeous food styling by 24 Carrots. And, what’s more perfect for a groom than whisky-inspired details?? Check out these beautifully captured images by Brett Hickman Photographers for all the details!
From the team: The shoot centered around a farmhouse table covered with a rich cognac leather runner and white blooms. Each type of flower was arranged in its own vase for a masculine touch, and paired with greenery, copper-sprayed eucalyptus and suede-like magnolia leaves. Each set of matte gray plates was wrapped in a metallic hand-lettered leather strap to serve as the place card, and was accented with a deep blue cotton linen napkin loosely wrapped with a black velvet ribbon. Maidenhair fern favors planted in handmade cement and copper pots served as the individual favor at each setting. Small bottles of bourbon served as the escort cards, wrapped in a copper, hand-painted sleeve. Catering included a miniature Bites & Shots menu of succulent beef with dark beer shooters and Moscow mules (in tiny copper cups) paired with the cutest little sliders you ever did see!
To add a touch of personality that might suit the gay community, the paper goods utilize slight innuendos to classic gay culture (like the invitation attire reference to a “white party,” outshining the bride, and the word “commitment”). Even the signature drinks are a reflection of the masculinity and spicy Latin culture of our gentlemen couple.

Filled with the prettiest moody + bold details – think lush, exotic florals, lace, lots of texture, darker jewel tones, and geometric accents – today’s inspiring editorial, part of the We Three Workshops hosted by Kat Gill of Katch Studios, Tricia Victoria and Sharon Litchfield, is sure to leave you feeling creatively energized.
The designer behind all the beauty, Evelyn Clark Weddings, tells us more about her vision for the shoot: Our approach to Bohemian was less whimsical, but moodier and rich. It was important for us to feature a look that was different yet still warm and intimate. So we used unusual details and combined seemingly random things that somehow worked together in the overall design.
As you’ll see in mere moments, this would have been such a fun workshop to attend! Fingers crossed these creative wedding artists host another one soon 🙂
We’re completely head over heels for that texture-filled bouquet by FaBLOOMosity!
This workshop inspires on so many levels, including providing lots of great wardrobe styling ideas for both the bride + groom. Evelyn says, Our bohemian bride and groom were styled in the same alternative vein. The bride wore a stunning, lace/macrame detailed wedding dress and a lush flower crown. Complementing her look was a dapper yet unconventionally-styled groom wearing a mix of textures and patterns that was subtle, yet made a statement.
Loose curls and bronze makeup from the The Pretty Haus…too good!
Gemstones and geometric elements brought a slight mystic vibe to the overall tone. Thinking out-of-the-box, we used handcrafted gemstone and gold cuffs as napkin rings and amethyst slice necklaces as name card holders and guest favors.
Above, modern paper goods by Em Hen Art helped brand the editorial and, below, a beautiful cake by Kake tied in all those pretty gemstone details.
We just loved taking a peek at this beautiful workshop! Be sure to check out the work of each vendor who helped bring it to life below.
