Stockholm 2015: a trio of designers designed this selection of expanded metal and wooden furniture for Swedish business Blå Station with the intent that each and every successive proprietor will customise the pieces.
Swedish designers Johan Lindau, Stefan Borselius and Thomas Bernstrand produced the Honken assortment for Blå Station with longevity in thoughts.

The Honken Armchair comprises an orange or black expanded metal “sitting basket” that is framed by a length of steel tubing.

The designers hope that when the chair’s 1st users are completed with it, they will pass it on to a person else who will repaint the frame and reupholster the seat to give it a new daily life.
As the chair was designed for Blå Station’s Experiment 2015 undertaking – where the aim was to produce “classics of the long term” – the assortment is created to be resilient.
“Honken has been offered all the circumstances for residing a really extended life,” mentioned the brand in a statement. “Its frame is torsionally rigid and impact resistant and will survive even the toughest environments.
