Gracie and David, both comedy writers, decided to have their delightful destination wedding New Orleans, a city filled with colorful heritage and charm and home to the bride’s alma mater Tulane University. Planned and designed by HoneyFitz Events, the intimate celebration at Cafe Amelie is bright, cheerful and filled with gorgeous pink florals by Poppy & Mint Floral Company. We’re loving all the sweet details and especially digging Gracie’s beaded BHLDN gown and bright blue heels. Thankfully Photography by Erika Parker was behind the lens to capture all these lovely images!

Gracie and David met through a mutual friend when she joined his tennis group. What started out as a playful friendship quickly blossomed into a playful romance. David first kissed Gracie on April Fool’s Day, and nearly five years later David proposed to Gracie on the beach at sunset. The LA-based couple decided to have their destination wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana, not only a city filled with colorful heritage and charm, but also home to the bride’s alma mater Tulane University.
Their ceremony was officiated by a dear friend who is also in their tennis group, and it incorporated a lot of laughter which is important to Gracie and David as they are both comedy writers. Surrounded by close friends and family, their intimate evening at the magical Café Amelie included an artist who painted a scenic portrait during the reception and a fabulous brass band that led the entire party through the city’s streets for the Second Line, a fun tradition unique to New Orleans.
