Lindsay and Brett’s wedding at the O’Donnell House

0

In case it’s not totally apparent, we CAN’T resist a gorg wedding at The O’Donnell House. The Palm Springs venue provides a breathtaking backdrop—the bougainvillea, alone, are enough eye candy for next-level wedding photos and we love the way Lindsay and Brett played off of the lush magenta blooms in the design of their day. The florals by Siren Floral Co. are a vision of pink—especially that giant-bloom-filled bridal bouquet! And the tiered floral cake by Exquisite Desserts is delightful. We’re also loving the invitation designed by the groom himself! Check out these detail and more in these absolutely stunning images by Shane Cox Photography.

What made the wedding special and unique?

Our wedding was exactly how we hoped it would be. The most special part about our wedding was having all of our closest friends and family there. A lot of our guests live out of state, so having everyone together from both sides of our family for the very first time to celebrate our marriage was unforgettable.  With a venue like the O’Donnell House, you really can’t go wrong, it is so beautiful and very intimate.  Palm Springs is one of our favorite places to visit if we’re feeling like we need a getaway, so inviting all of our friends and family to join us there and experience it as well, was really nice.

Tell us about the gown and where/how you found it!

I loved my dress!  I knew I wanted something romantic and simple, and I love lace gowns. Comfort was a big factor for me because I wanted to be able to dance and move around without feeling restricted.  I found my dress at Karoza Bridal in Glendale, CA.

What were some touches added to make it personal?

There were a lot of touches that were personal! Brett made our save the dates and invitations, and the photos we used on them we had taken during previous trips to Palm Springs.  Brett also designed our signs, and we have a good friend who owns Prink Tech and he custom made the signs for the wedding. We are obsessed with these chai toffee blondies that we originally fell in love with at the Altadena Farmer’s Market, so we reached out to Max at Morning Glory Confections to see if we could special order a bunch for the wedding to give our guests as favors.  Our close friend Sara officiated the wedding and she put so many personal touches and so much heart into the script, most of which was a surprise, so that was amazing.  Also, my grandma wrote a really special blessing that she shared prior to our dinner.

What was the most memorable part of the day?

There were so many special and memorable moments, that it’s hard to chose just one! But one that stands out in my mind was the time that we had alone right after the ceremony.  Brett and I had written our own vows and exchanged them in private.

Tell us how you met and became engaged.

We met on Match.com!  After two and a half years of dating Brett took me on a trip to Big Sur to our favorite little hotel.  We spent a few days adventuring and relaxing, and he proposed to me at sunset on a beautiful secluded beach.  There was a whale in the ocean at that exact moment and it was absolutely perfect!

Karly says, For this shoot we were all about textures, fun electric colors, patterns, neckerchiefs, suspenders and bowties. The ties, pocket squares and goodies were from Gold Coast Goods. The great thing about these ties is that they work with either dressing down a high end tux or make the hipster outfit complete! With her designs you really can mix pattern bowties on floral print shirts and it still looks fabulous. Or you can throw a striped bowtie with some suspenders and you’re looking sharp. We mixed the wardrobe with pants from The Black Tux  and found some really awesome blazers from Zara.

Classic Decor For Nashville Residence by Bonadiesarchitect

The classic decor performs amazingly for this residence realized by Bonadiesarchitect. They are timeless, cozy and reflect the personality of the inhabitants who have a taste for artwork and refined add-ons. Creating the so-known as outdated aesthetic seem fresh and practical is generally a challenge for designers. Heavy curtains, tapestried sofas, the king dimension clock with Roman numerals and a crystal chandelier do not accommodate very easily with our sensible requirements. As a general rule, a classic decor opts for imposing aspects, objects that make the area feel sophisticated, occasionally luxurious. The setup relies on symmetry, typically displaying well-proportioned products of furniture paired with sufficient decorative objects. For a noble seem, Greek or Roman influences can be introduced therefore reminding the glorious times of banquets in grand villas. What we nowadays understand as a classic decor is normally an example of a distinctive layout, often mixed with a royal touch. It goes with out saying that technical products and all the modern day equipment are hidden as much as feasible to let the aristocratic appear conquer the stage.
